EU INDIA S&T COOPERATION DAYS
The EU-India S&T Cooperation Days will take place from 4 to 6 November 2009 in New Delhi, hosted by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The Event is a joint initiative by the European Commission (Research Directorate General and the EC Delegation to India) and the Government of India. It is organized by relevant FP7 networks and projects aiming at enhancing EU-India S&T co-operation, with the involvement of the network of FP7 National Contact Points.

The EU-India S&T Cooperation Days 2009 will further contribute to reinforce the EU-India S&T partnership, in various fields of life sciences and biotechnologies research and innovation. A large number of stakeholders from both India and the EU, from public and private sectors, will pave the way for future co-operation via foresight and research policy dialogues, through exchanges of information, networking and mutual training.

Participation is free of charge upon registration. Please indicate while registering if you wish to disseminate an ongoing project funded under the Seventh Framework programme or if you would like to take part in the Partnering Event at Day 2.

Participants in the Partnering Event are requested to download and return the Partner profile templates available at the Download section. Stakeholders who will present their project ideas are requested to also submit their presentation in the standard ppt format available under Download section.

European Union and India Enhanced Cooperation Framework for Improved Bilateral Dialogue in the Field of Science and Technology - funded by the FP7 Capacities programme aims at Improving Scientific and Technological cooperation between India and the EU by increasing awareness among Indian and European stakeholders about cooperation opportunities as well as capacity building activities for more successful collaboration.

New INDIGO - http://www.newindigo.eu

Initiative for the Development and Integration of Indian and European Research - funded by the FP7 Capacities programme is a consortium of European and Indian S&T organisations involved in promoting research cooperation between Europe and India. It is intended to strengthen the international dimension of the European Research Area (ERA) by providing a networking platform for Indian and European S&T organisations.

BIO CIRCLE - http://www.biocircle-project.eu

Creating a CIRCLE by extending the BIO NCP network to Third Countries - funded by the FP7 Co-operation programme aims at fostering S&T co-operation between the EU and Third Countries, including India, in the area of Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnologies.

EBTC - http://www.ebtc.eu

The European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) is a EUROCHAMBRES' initiative in cooperation with 16 partner organizations co-funded by the European Commission and aiming to increase sustainable business between India and the European Union and to foster business relevant cooperation in the field of science, research and technology. EBTC is therefore the reference point for the European scientific and business community who wish to strengthen ties with India, as well as for Indian interested in attain a better understanding of the European Union. Through its Biotech Cluster, EBTC will bring European biotechnology and pharma researchers to take part to the event.

An Organising Committee has been set up to coordinate the different projects and involved parties: the chairs are the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for India and APRE (Agenzia per la Ricerca Europea – involved in EUINEC and BIOCIRCLE) for the EU.
